The ebay Store

http://stores.ebay.com/Judys-Idea
Just updating. I'm building on the ebay store and it's turning into a little empire. You will have to drop by and take a look at it.

This is the way it happens, folks. Work, work, work until it starts to pay you back. There's no such thing as a get rich quick scheme, not even on the internet.

You have to work it, get smarter, find short cuts and then work some more until it's self motivated.

My best wishes for all.

I'll keep you updated

If you don't have a way to keep a feed on this blog, I'll be more than happy to update you when there have been changes. Sign up for my mailing list on the left side of the page.

Here's what I plan to do. I've been reading just about everything there is, about online marketing and what is successful. What I've found, so far, is that most of yesterday's marketing techniques are worn out. The market is flooded.
BUT
Regardless of how many reseller e-books are swarming through the internet, niches are still viable. A niche is something you are expert in. You can use that as your platform for your online business.

Let's say you are a wedding planner. As such, you are already tapped into the best sources of supply, how to find local entertainers, etc. You have a lot to offer a hungry market.

Build a web site. It's pretty easy, these days, especially with things like yahoo. Yahoo has its own webpage builder that you can use. It may take a while to decide how you want it to look but anything is better than nothing, to start with.

Shop around and find reseller e-books in your theme that you can use to sell on your website, along with the info you're already giving your readers.

While you're at it, you can advertise your own expertise.

We'll talk more about this sort of avenue.

I DID it and I'm Glad!!

I did it and I'm glad. You wouldn't believe how many reseller e-books, private label articles, scripts for webpages and software, I've collected.

I finally just went nuts, I think. I uploaded almost all of them (almost-whew) as freebies when anyone buys the Newbie's Guide I put out front.

There's so much stuff to play with, you wouldn't believe it. Everything from how to make a living online, to how to sell your house, to how to organize a wedding. Information overload. I still haven't read it all.

Doing Just Fine

Well, folks, it seems I'm going to be just fine. You should see all the listings I've already got on our new ebay store.

We're getting a kick out of yard sales and second hand stores. You wouldn't believe the overlooked gems. You should try it! :)

Well...I did it

Went back and re-opened an ebay store. I know that people are making a living off ebay but every time I've tried, in the past, I've walked away disallusioned.

So what made me try again? Well, I guess, first off, there's this great collection of product and I've been dwelling on just which way to go with it.

I started building webpages for the resell rights e-books and software but we all know that's just not enough. It's sort of like setting up a lemonade stand in the middle of the desert, without so much as a sign and expecting traffic. It's not going to happen.

So, ok....where else. The list! Oh yes, the list. I don't have a list and I'm sure not going to pay for one. So gotta work on that one. And where would I get a list, to begin with? Sign-ups on my website? Back to the desert thing again.

There's always google ads but even there, if you don't have loads of money to gamble on it, you have to compete with people that do. So, ok.....do a google campaign but hold the budget down.

Where else to get attention? Uploading articles. I've tried that, in the past. Got some traffic but didn't pay off very well. Yahoo groups? Doing that and I've seen some results but not much and not the right kind.

I signed up with payloadz.com and they've made all sort of promises but we'll see. In the meantime, one can't just sit on ones hands, waiting for somebody else to get the job done for you.

That's why I've tried ebay again. Here's my thoughts. If I promote the living daylights out of my ebay store, throw hooks out there in the auctions to get visitors to the store, I just might start getting some attention. At the same time, I've discovered this wonderful new thing that ebay has-guest book. hmmmm So maybe if I keep at it and gain a reputation on ebay, I might actually get started on that 'list'.

Either way, I'm giving it a month to show me what's its worth and I'll work like crazy on it to give it all the rope it needs.

When I learn, I'll share. I'm pushing my way through and learning as I go. I'm learning a LOT! ooo and some of the tips and tricks I've learned just from the very e-books I'm selling, are just blowing my mind. I keep saying 'Wow. I never knew that'. ha

So for those looking for the same things I'm looking for, namely a real way to make money online, I'll keep updated and report right here.

Have a happy, everybody. :)

Pointers for Ebay Sellers

The fact is, you can actually make a living off of ebay. You just have to work at it. Here are some pointers.

Open a store. The cheapest one will do for the time being. List at least 10 items per day, all in different categories. Make sure you have your cross promotions set to peek at your store, on each listing.

Be sure to keep hooks, out there, in the auctions, not just your store inventory. Get hooks to bring attention.

One lady says that as she is flea marketing, visiting used stores or yard sales, she keeps an eye out for designer label clothing. Regardless of it's condition, the name itself is a draw. She will put an item on auction, if for no other reason than to hook her audience into her store. Use that designer name.

Join and participate in networking groups, like yahoo groups, always with your store address in your signatures. Be sure to add the store address in your email signatures.

Use ebays guestbook and be prompt to reply to visitors. Be friendly and available.

Visit the blogs on ebay to see what others are doing and what they suggest. Get involved.

I know that with a little effort, you too can be a success on ebay.

Blog and Ping

Spent another night cramping my brain but boy is it ever paying off. I can't believe how much more I learned from a recent download, than all the articles and e-books, I've found so far. Here's the download link http://judysbookshop.com/biz/blog-and-ping/index.htm

I've had this for awhile but just tonight, finally got around to reading. It blew my mind. I'm telling you that if you want traffic online, this is a wonderful thing to learn.

Going back, now, to finish reading this thing. I'm worn out but this is just too great. :)
